The South African Airways Cape Town Flower Show 2006 takes place at the spectacular outdoor setting of Lourensford Wine Estate at the foot of the Helderberg Mountain in Somerset West.![]()
The show runs from Thursday October 26 until Sunday October 29 and provides visitors with an opportunity to experience the splendour of South Africa’s rich floral heritage.
The event showcases horticulture, nature and art and provides an outdoor gardening experience with landscapers, nurserymen and clubs creating inspirational show-gardens in the picturesque surroundings. The event provides a marketplace to see and buy gardening products and services and hosts a forum for lectures and demonstrations.
Not only does the South African Airways Cape Town Flower Show offer visitors with a sensory experience but it also demonstrates the value of the country’s unique natural resources and the commercial, industrial and social benefits of utilising these resources better.
Through a diversity of participants it demonstrates the viability of using horticulture as a means of development within poor communities, and provides a forum for economic co-operation within the floricultural industry.For Directions on how to get the venue.

One and all are invited to the adhkaar that will take place at the Habibia Soofie Masjid in Duine Road, Rylands Estate, Cape Town on Saturday, 21st March 2009, Insha-Allah. The Maghrib Salaah will be followed by the dhikrullah, the ‘Isha Salaah, the continuation of the ‘Ibaad-u-Ragmaan Qadiriyya, the du’aa and a short lecture.
The recital will be led by Haji Achmat Damon, Imam Fatgie Manie, Imam Mogammad Ismail Davids, Haji Toyer Adams, Hafith Razeen Carelse and Hafith Muneer Manie. Dr Shahiem Ganief, Haji Omar Abrahams and Haji Mogamat Shafiek Salie will assist. Haji Mohammed Faaiz Adams and Haji Mogammad Yunus Kippie will do their bit. Directing the reading also, will be Haji Riedwaan Cassiem, Haji Achmat Fish and Haji Irefaan Sydow. Haji Liegaaj Ganief, Haji Mogammad Faatiegh Manie, Haji Ismail Ganief, Haji Ismail Parker and Haji Taalieb Ganief will lend a hand.
