If you’re always on the lookout for tasty dishes with which to impress your family, YOU Family Food and Huisgenoot Familiekos is just the thing!

YOU Family Food and Huisgenoot Familiekos is a collection of its readers’ best-loved family recipes. To make sure you get the best of the bunch, their food experts tested all of them in the YOU and Huisgenoot kitchen. Every one of the 100 recipes in each of these handy magazines is a mouth-watering delight!

“While compiling the Family Food magazines I realised how much value we attach to good eating and socialising when we’re at the family table,” Food editor Carmen Niehaus says. “We swear by family recipes that have been passed down to us and, of course, no other recipes can ever beat the proven ones of a beloved aunt or grandmother. All of us have a grandma’s recipe after all, whether it’s for a chicken pie or tart – and it’s always a hit at the table.”

In both publications you’ll find a variety of delicious lunch, dinner and dessert favourites such as bobotie, biryani, leg of lamb, fried chicken, chicken korma, snoek pie, malva pudding, milktart, pumpkin pie, koesisters, trifle, tipsy tart and much more! Be sure to make more than usual though as your family will definitely come back for seconds and thirds!
