The Red Carpet Fashion Show 2012

The Camps Bay strip was star studded in style on Friday 10 February at the Heat magazine powered Red Carpet Fashion Show 2012.

Celebrity guests Elana Afrika and Katlego Maboe took to the stage, introducing SA’s leading fashion giants KLuK, Port, Stefania Morland, Jagadi and a fresh new designer on the scene, Joanna Hedley, with BeachCult.

The Heat glam fashion event celebrated the empowerment of women through Dermalogica’s joinFITE initiative. Red Carpet Concepts handed over a cheque of R16 000.00 to the foundation. “All the hard work pays off in the end when you’re able to look back at what you’ve achieved and feel proud. We couldn’t have chosen a better initiative to back” says Red Carpet Concepts MD and Red Carpet Fashion Show event organizer Jade Allen.

Aphrodite Diamond’s also gave away a show stopping R65 000.00 pair of raw diamond chandelier earrings to Mpume Maphumulo.

The show was further topped by a debut showcasing of both online fashion super store Zando.co.za – the official shoe supplier of the Red Carpet Fashion Show 2012, and Carol Boyes’ new line of sunglasses, jewellery and hand bags.

The full house of 500 guests enjoyed incredible catering by master chef Lauden Kirk of Simply Italian, and seemingly endless complimentary drinks by Pongracz, Bernini, Peroni, Gordon’s Gin, Thin Lizzy and Vitamin Water cocktails. The event didn’t shy away from spoiling its guests for a second; the goody bags were filled to the brim with incredible products, gifts and treats from Dermalogica, Morrocanoil, Sally Williams, Lindt, Katjes, bobble water bottles, Hula Hoops and a range of other impressive gifts.

Ice Art South Africa also shone out with yet another beautiful ice sculpture welcoming guests at the entrance, leading to an Ultra Events transformed Rotanda where Carol Thorns greeted guests with a powerful performance on her cello.

“I can’t wait for the next event”, says Allen, “I’m considering doing a winter show later this year. As the show keeps growing I look forward to being able to keep giving more back to charity.”

LIGHTS, CAMERAS, FASHION!

The third annual Red Carpet Fashion Show, a Red Carpet Concepts production in collaboration with Heat, welcomes 2012 with an elaborately stylish showcasing of some of South Africa’s most celebrated designers and sought after celebrity guests at the prestigious Rotanda in Camps Bay on the 10th Feb 2012.

Having raised a handsome sum of money for the Animal Rescue Organisation during the Red Carpet Fashion Show in 2011, proceeds from the next event will help to raise funds for another charity in need for 2012.

“Our goal is to host a fun and fabulous affair where guests can enjoy a glamorous fashion focussed evening whilst giving something back to charity. My vision for the annual Red Carpet Fashion Show is to combine luxury with a charitable cause,” says Red Carpet Concepts Founder and MD, Jade Allen.

With 12 years’ experience in the local and international fashion and modelling arena, coupled with her passion for PR and events, Allen naturally migrated towards heading up a fashion show brand of her own. “This year is set to raise the bar to a whole new level… we intend to put on a show like no other!”

Red Carpet Fashion Show guests are privy to complementary drinks and canapés all evening, with champagne and oysters on arrival at the exclusive after party taking place at the Sandy B Private Beach Club.  Each guest is set to receive an incredible goody bag, and one lucky guest will walk away with a gorgeous diamond bracelet.
