Classic and Cruising Boat Regatta weekend will be from the 4th to 6th May. The Event is aimed around family entertainment for the whole Weekend.

At least 20 yachts are expected to come over from HBYC, and what could be an attraction for them would be to sail in the HBYC to RCYC Pursuit Race on Tuesday 1st May after the Admiral’s Regatta. Free moorings will be available for all visitors the week before and after the Weekend.

The idea is create public interest and promote yachting. A fantastic Social week end has been planned with the low entry fee of only R120.00 per boat irrespective of size. Entries close 18h00 on 4th May.

Admission to all the Entertainment is open to all Club Members so you can bring your family and friends.Classes of yachts accepted: any yacht 20years or more from its launching date, RCOD’s, Muira’s, L34′s, L26′s, any new boat built in a Classic Tradition, Stadt 34′s, Buccaneer’s, Sweet Pea’s. Prize for best “bright work”

When it comes to yachts the preference is of course classic yachts but not necessarily classic working, for there are many old GRIP and wooden designs that don’t have bow sprits and gaff rigs, but have become the cornerstones of sailing in South Africa. There are also more modern boats built in the old traditional of planking or laminates, which will be welcome.

Program can be changed without prior notice.

Tuesday 1st May

Pursuit Race from HBYC to RCYC

Friday 4th May
