Join the worldâ€™s leading comedians this September for a riotous time at the Cape Town International Comedy Festival â€“ South Africaâ€™s premier annual comedy event. As usual the international comedians will present their unique brands of humour in the Main Arena and Danger Zone programmes at the Baxter Theatre, while an exciting new showcase of the best in in local Afrikaans comedy, Bek-Lash, makes its debut at the Artscape Theatre.

Once again a collection of zany street performers will be amusing unsuspecting Capetonians in-and-around the Mother City as part of the Street Comedy Festival, while in another festival first, an extensive programme of the world’s most popular short comedy films will be presented at the Labia.

Following the sell-out success of the 2006 project, Cape Town’s premier comedy project returns to the Baxter. The three-week festival of international stand-up comedy showcases the award-winning musical act of Rebecca Carrington and Colin Brown, Cape Town favourite Riaad Moosa, master impersonator Martin Jonas and the new sensation out of Johannesburg, Wayvinne Dawson, together with a host of comics from England, Wales and South Africa.

Directed by Eddy Cassar, and starring Rebecca Carrington and Colin Brown (England), Junior Simpson (England), Riaad Moosa (SA), Lucy Porter (England), Master of Ceremonies Stephen Grant (Wales), Martin Jonas (SA) and Wayvinne Dawson (SA).
