INDABA 2007 Tourism Video

INDABA is the largest tourism marketing event on the African calendar and one of the top three ‘must visit’ events of its kind on the global calendar. It showcases the widest variety of Southern Africa’s best tourism products, and attracts international visitors and media from across the world.

Unfortunately this event will not be held in Cape Town, but i felt like it had to do with tourism and felt obligated to post some information about this event.

SA Bellydancing Festival

The Cape Academy of Middle Eastern Dance, previously Marocca Belly Dance Studios, has presented the annual SA National Belly Dance Festival since 2004. It has become the highlight of the year for the Belly Dance community in South Africa.

The festival offers

The opportunity for teachers to meet from around the country and share their knowledge and expertise with each other and students.

The opportunity to dance in a professional environment is offered to both new and established dancers.

The extensive variety of workshops presented at the festival give students the opportunity to learn the many styles and forms of Belly Dance.

Brides and Grooms, as well as those hosting a special event, will benefit by attending this beautiful exhibition, as exhibits on all aspects pertaining the wedding or special day, will be on show. The Exhibition will be running from the 14 & 15 April 2007.

See fantastic displays by designers, flower artists, wedding and event coordinators, photographers, venues, companies specialising in cakes, invitations, jewelery and much more. Exhibiting representatives will be present on the stands in order to serve visitors with any information they might need.

PRIDE 2007 15th February

Gay PrideThe PRIDE Festival 2007 event launches in February this year with the theme Carnival of Love. The mother city will be filled with colour and flamboyance as the entire lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-gendered and intersexed (LGBTI) community descends upon the city for 11 days of entertainment, education and enjoyment.

The festival runs from the 15th February until the 25th February 2007.
